  • Of course you want to lose weight in a society where being thin = being healthier, happier, prettier, more successful, and more important. In our 1:1 nutrition counseling sessions we hold space for your desire to lose weight and help you process through this. Research shows that 95% of diets or attempts at intentional weight loss fail; within 2-5 years most individuals will gain all of their weight back or more. Promoting weight loss not only encourages harmful eating behaviors, but it also doesn’t work. It increases your risk of weight cycling which has been shown as an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease, inflammation, high blood pressure, and insulin resistance. Just know that we accept you as you are and are here to help you with your nutrition vision.
